Pathway 26
Career Guidance and Future Planning Program
Helping students discover their strengths, explore meaningful career pathways, and make informed academic decisions for the future.
Choosing academic subjects and planning future careers can feel overwhelming for both students and families. Pathway 26 is a structured Career Guidance and Assessment Program designed to provide students with clarity, direction, and confidence during an important stage of their educational journey.
Through professional assessment, individualized guidance, and career planning support, students gain a deeper understanding of who they are, what they are capable of, and which future pathways may suit them best.
Why Pathway 26?
Many students struggle to understand which academic pathway aligns with their interests, strengths, and long-term goals. Pathway 26 helps bridge this gap through a comprehensive and personalized approach to career guidance.
The program is designed to:
• Help students understand their interests, strengths, and career preferences
• Support students in selecting suitable academic pathways and subject combinations
• Guide families in understanding their child’s potential and future opportunities
• Introduce students to realistic career pathways and university options
• Provide structured career planning during a critical stage of development
What the Program Includes
1. Parent and Student Background Meeting
Each student and family will attend an individual meeting prior to the assessment process.
This session helps us build a clearer understanding of the student’s educational journey, learning profile, interests, aspirations, and areas where guidance may be needed.
During the meeting, we discuss:
• Educational background and academic history
• Student strengths and challenges
• Career interests and aspirations
• Family expectations and future goals
• Questions or concerns related to academic planning and careers
This stage allows the guidance process to become more personalized and meaningful for each student.
2. Career Assessment
Students complete the Pearson Career Assessment Inventory, an internationally recognized career assessment tool used to identify career interests and occupational preferences.
The assessment is conducted professionally under supervision at the school.
The assessment helps identify:
• Areas of career interest
• Occupational clusters aligned with student preferences
• Student strengths and potential areas for development
• Career fields best suited to the student’s profile
3. Individualized Career Report
Each student receives a detailed career guidance report based on the assessment findings and information gathered during the parent meeting.
The report includes:
• Career interest profile
• Interpretation of assessment results
• Suitable career fields and pathways
• Recommended academic directions
• Suggested subject combinations
• Long-term career planning considerations
The report serves as a practical roadmap to support future educational and career decisions.
4. Individual Career Guidance Session
Following completion of the report, an individual feedback session is conducted with the student and family.
During this session:
• Assessment results are explained in detail
• Student strengths and potential career directions are discussed
• Questions from students and parents are addressed
• A personalized career direction plan is developed
These sessions help families gain clarity and confidence regarding future academic and career decisions.
5. Career Preparation and University Guidance Session
After completion of the individual sessions, participating students attend a group career preparation presentation designed to support future planning and university readiness.
Topics covered include:
• University pathways and admissions planning
• Overview of UK university opportunities
• Career preparation strategies for students
• Aligning subject choices with future goals
